Made me want to visit Cornwall which I finally did in 2012. Wonderful memories, Robin ! 5.3K likes. So many years later and I am still a fan of Masterpiece but I remember where it all started. I had to be bathed and in my pyjamas, teeth brushed, mind you!! I recently saw both adaptation of the Poldark saga and quite frankly the original stands above. We knew it was a good story, with all the right ingredients to engage–and even entrance–an early-evening audience–but you never know. Having watched and enjoyed the current Aiden Turner Poldark I was told by my Aunt that good as that version is it was not a patch on the Robin Ellis Poldark. His empathy is amazing. I was Demelza waiting on the cliffs, waiting for you Ross to ride up and take me to Nampara. Masterpiece Theatre has done it again -- literally.
