The IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Kerala Chapter is one of the largest and most active IEEE Communications Society chapters, bringing together researchers, professionals, industry experts, and students working in the fields of communications and networking. Committed to advancing communications technology for the benefit of humanity, the Chapter serves as a vibrant platform for technical knowledge exchange, professional networking, collaboration, and innovation.

The Chapter actively promotes emerging technologies including 5G/6G, Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Software Defined Radio (SDR), satellite communications, cybersecurity, and next-generation wireless networks through technical talks, distinguished lectures, workshops, conferences, internships, project competitions, hackathons, and industry collaborations.

Some of the Chapter’s flagship initiatives include AKComSocSC – All Kerala Communications Society Student Conclave, PROCOMM – Communications Project Competition & Hardware Hackathon, Morse iT! – Communication Decoding Competition, Summer Internship on IoT & SDR, the IEEE ComSoc India Collective Webinar Series, Distinguished Lecturer Programs, and international collaborations through the IEEE ComSoc Sister Chapter Program. These initiatives provide members with opportunities to enhance their technical expertise, leadership skills, and professional networks.

With a strong network of Student Branch Chapters, Graduate Student Members, Young Professionals, and dedicated volunteers across Kerala, the Chapter continues to foster technical excellence, leadership, innovation, and industry–academia collaboration while inspiring the next generation of communication engineers and researchers.
