Advancing Women in Communications Engineering
IEEE ComSoc promotes the advancement of women communications engineers through our standing committee, Women in Communications Engineering (WICE). Our mission is to promote the visibility and roles of women communications engineers and to provide a venue for their professional growth.

Each year, four extraordinary women are honored for their contributions to the field of communications technology as recipients of the following awards:
Recognizing Achievement in Communications Technology
IEEE ComSoc sponsors more than 20 awards, including monetary prizes, certificates, and plaques. We honor the successes of our members and individuals in communications technology who make substantial contributions to the advancement of the industry.
Awards Categories
IEEE ComSoc presents awards in three categories:
Career
Recognizes distinguished and significant contributions to education, major industry advances, and major contributions to public welfare.
Service
Recognizes members who have demonstrated exemplary service to IEEE ComSoc in the areas of meetings and conferences, publications, globalization, and overall service to the Society.
Paper
Recognizes achievements in the publications of papers that are published in IEEE ComSoc magazines and journals.
