Kerala Chapter

The IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Kerala Chapter is the official regional chapter of the IEEE Communications Society in Kerala, India. Since its inception, the Chapter has been committed to advancing communications and networking technologies by fostering technical excellence, professional development, research collaboration, and knowledge sharing among academia, industry, researchers, and students.

The IEEE Communications Society is the world’s premier professional society dedicated to communications and networking technologies. Through the Kerala Chapter, members gain access to a vibrant technical community, global expertise, distinguished lectures, networking opportunities, and professional development programs aligned with the Society’s mission of advancing communications technology for the benefit of humanity.

Established on 15 October 2004, the IEEE ComSoc Kerala Chapter has grown into one of the largest and most active IEEE Communications Society chapters. Over the years, the Chapter has organized numerous distinguished lectures, technical talks, conferences, workshops, student conclaves, hackathons, project competitions, internships, and industry–academia interaction programs covering emerging areas such as 5G/6G, Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Software Defined Radio (SDR), satellite communications, cybersecurity, and future wireless communication systems.

The Chapter actively supports a vibrant ecosystem of Student Branch Chapters, Graduate Student Members, Young Professionals, Women in Communications Engineering (WICE), researchers, and industry professionals across Kerala. Through flagship initiatives such as AKComSocSC – All Kerala Communications Society Student Conclave, PROCOMM – Communications Project Competition & Hardware Hackathon, Morse iT!
